WEDDINGS AND ELOPEMENTS

 

FLORIST – Victoria Robertson of Tortraits Floral Design and her staff/freelancers.

BOOKINGS – all bookings will be subject to availability. They will be valid only when a booking fee is received by Tortraits Floral Design. Estimates are held on file for 1 week after which they are archived. Your date is only secured upon receipt of a booking fee. In some instances I may have a few estimates out for the same week / day – bookings are made on a first come first served basis.

BOOKING FEE – a booking fee secures the day of your wedding in my diary and is non-refundable, it is deducted from the final balance. The booking fee requested covers administration and any product sourcing required for your wedding and cannot be offset against other floral products etc provided by tortraits floral design in the case of cancellation. If you need to postpone your booking fee is transferred and held against your new date –  I will endeavour to cover new dates where possible.

ESTIMATES – estimates take time for me to produce and are tailored to your individual requirements. When you agree an estimate and confirm your date with a booking fee you are booking me for the supply of all items detailed. The only changes that are likely to be made are minor for example to final table numbers, buttonhole requirements & bridesmaid dress colours, which may affect the flower mix and hence price quoted. Major initial quote overhauls will be charged at £50. Cancellation of larger installations/designs etc may carry a charge as many of these may require structures to be made / items sourced well in advance of your wedding.

FULL PAYMENT – full payment/balances due must be settled 5 weeks prior to the day of your wedding and is NON-REFUNDABLE. No flowers will be ordered until full payment is received – this payment must be by the date stated on your final invoice – failure to pay on time may result in me being unable to order your flowers and hence deliver them on your wedding day. When your flowers are ordered I am financially obligated to buy them – orders cannot be cancelled after this point should you need to postpone or cancel your wedding due to any unforeseen situation. All invoices are raised in £ GBP (British Pounds Sterling).

CANCELLATION – the florist reserves the right to cancel or decline the supply of flowers for a wedding without giving any notice. Any monies paid up to this point will be refunded.

SUBSTITUTION OF FLOWERS/FOLIAGE – in some instances where the named flower and/or foliage cannot be procured a substitute flower/foliage will be provided by the florist.

HIRE OF GLASSWARE/SUNDRIES – any glassware or sundries hired from tortraits floral design for use at your wedding must be returned in the same condition as delivered. Any damages sustained will be the responsibility of the bride and groom and any damage will be charged accordingly.

COLLECTION OF WEDDING/ELOPEMENT FLOWERS – where you choose to collect your flowers, tortraits floral design accept no responsibility for the condition of flowers after collection / damage caused by a third party. Flowers are provided in a water source, in which they should be kept in a cool room, away from direct heat and sunlight until required. Circlets, hair flowers and corsages should be stored, in the boxes provided, in a fridge until required. Care should be taken when removing all flowers from their boxes to avoid damage. Stem ends of bouquets will need to be dabbed with a cloth upon removing from the water source, to avoid water droplets on dresses.

GENERAL – Tortraits Floral Design do not accept responsibility

  • for colour bleeds onto dresses.
  • for the condition of flowers after delivery is completed or damage caused by a third party.
  • for any damages to persons or property that the wedding party may sustain from any cause whatsoever.

WORKSHOPS

Tortraits Floral Designs reserves the right to cancel workshops at anytime, but will refund any fees paid or, where possible, make the proposed design for you or transfer you to another course.

Full refunds (less a £10 administrative fee) are given for cancellations made by you 2 weeks prior to  a workshop  commencement date. No refunds will be given for cancellations made 2 weeks or less before the start of a course but the design will be made by me for you to collect.

Tortraits Floral Design is not liable for any damages to persons or property that the person named above may sustain from any cause whatsoever whilst attending a workshop or class held by Tortraits Floral Design.
